Default How to avoid getting stuck

I'm new to wheeling and I'd like to know how to avoid getting your jeep stuck right under the middle of your jeep. I think it's called high centering? Is it? Idk. I guess what I'm asking is how to climb over boulders, tree logs, snow banks things like that with out getting stuck right about where you're at the top? Is there a special way to approach it?

Well, approach angles play a big part. If it looks bad, don't attempt it that way! I haven't had much experienced with being high centered. I guess some of it depends on the stance of your jeep?

Make sure you run over the boulders with you tires and learn where your lowest points are. (front and rear diff's)

As JohnnyB said, definitely approach at an angle. I like to use my passenger side front to climb first, it probably doesn't even matter

....Stay on the couch...wait then your ass my get stuck in the cushions.. J/K

All joking aside this is a very subjective question isnt it? There are so many factors and variables...best bet always go with a group or a friend who can pull you out if need be. And also have recovery gear and know how to use it.
