Id say that getting stuck a few times will let you learn your limits and not heading out alone to the places you may get stuck. A few good skid plates also help off road confidence.

I agree, the only way you know the limitations is to test them

Pay attention to the trail instead of talking to your passenger....

Even a Rubicon with an experienced driver can get stuck on the smallest obstacle if you are not paying attention. I should had drove more to my left, placing my passenger tires on the rock instead of straddling it...

Congrats - you made a good choice with the Jeep. Before you go off-road, make contact with other Jeepers and see if you can join them on a trip. If you go out alone, you will run into problems...

Only a lift and / or larger tires will get you over some obstacles.

I needed about 2 inches more of clearance to make this obstacle. I had to back down and go around the easy way instead.

I have put full skid plates under the Jeep so I don't worry about high centering or hitting rocks. But I NEVER Jeep alone so there is help pulling me off if needed.

Eventually, when I have paid off other bills, I plan on a 3" long arm lift with proper gearing (5.38), drive shafts, & 37" tires; along with axle sleeves & C gussets. I already have flat fender flares to install.

Remember you should air down when off road for a better ride and max traction, so you will lose a little ride height to clear obstacles...
