As someone who's had 2 manual Jeeps, and one auto (including one of each for the JK) I prefer auto at this point. I also live in Jersey though.

Try saying that after dealing with LA stop-n-go traffic for a decade.... especially if your Jeep is a DD.

My yj and both tjs I had were manuals but my jk is a auto. It is much better in traffic but I don't care much for the shift points it uses. I switched because of the traffic I sit in and assume it will be easier offorad. Auto or manual, it is still a Jeep.

i really like my manual, but i wish 6th gear was a little taller. 70 mph runs at almost 3 grand which is ridiculous. I know the rubi wasn't intended for highway use but mine is a daily driver.

Both have advantages but comes down to what you like. My jku is auto. First auto I've ever owned. Of all the jeeps I've owned I've had problems with the manual trans. Also I think wheeling is a little easier in an auto. When it comes down to it I bought an auto so the wife could drvie it if needed. If not fir that I probably would have got another manual.
