I test drove both and noticed the manual turned higher RPMs at highway speeds - more noise and gas milage on the 401.

I've had a manual and not I have an automatic.

I prefer manual, but the automatic isn't bad either. It depends what you intend to use it for.

Manual for sure. An auto is ok but I just like having more controll with the manual.

Manual all the way!!! I like having the extra control (kinda feel like I am driving a dodgem car when I drive auto... must be some weird childhood thing???) & I also think a manual is more fun to drive... even in traffic...

My dad , brother bought the automatics and I bought a six speed all on the same day. So far the autos seem to be a little easier to feather the throttle a little off road but on road my six speed just walks away from them on hills They are doing about 70 in second gear on a 6% grade and I can pull 85. Easy out of 4 th You can't go wrong with the 6. Speed If u are decent with a clutch

I always get a slight rush when I jump in a manual vehicle. Nowadays it seems everything is automatic. My first 4 vehicles were autos but my friend had a 87 RX-7 with a 5 speed. That car was so much fun to drive.

I'm in the market for a JK (need to find a buyer for my 2008 Ram 1500). I'm going to wait until I find a manual. I'm going to be picky and find exactly what I want.

Depends what your primary use is going to be. I commute 60 miles round trip to work every day and love my automatic for sitting traffic, having a free hand for my coffee, etc.

However, when on the trails or cruising on the beach on the weekends, I wish I had a manual.

Overall, glad I went with auto.
