The gun is kinda important because once I had a javelina charge my friends '70 Blazer. Also if your stuck for a long period of time you can hunt with it.

Good luck hunting with a 38special with a 1.5 or 2 in barrel. Most pistols are desidned to be used in a fire fight up to about 20ft. Good luck getting that close to a deer. Beyond that they are just not accurate enough to waste time hunting with them. I don't know anyone who "carries" a proper hunting gun 44mag with an 8in barrel up to the 500S&W. Guns can be your worst enemy in a true survival situation, not a detour.

You don't see Bear Grills carrying a 45 into the mountains do you? lol Your brain is the best weapon you can have out there.

iiiiiiiii dunnnnno.. All the militants on here, *Marines especially*....yep, I'd bet we can pick off dinner with our side arm. I know I can with my bersa .380. We play off handed tic tac toe with 2 sq. in. marks at more than 20 ft....

but yep, brain is the most important thing.

I can easily take a rabbit at 20 yards with my snubbie. If u can't get close enough to a deer to use a pistol u don't really know how to hunt, u just snipe.

Sorry for resurrecting this old thread, but this item struck me as maybe optional on the "being prepared" list. I can't read Hindu or Buddhist text, so it would be of little value to me.

Or.... maybe is that a Kama Sutra kit? That would be useful in some situations, indeed!

I'm guessing that was supposed to be a Suture Kit?

The hospital ER uses derma bond, it's basically purple sterile superglue

It's sold over the counter as liquid bandage

My wife refuses to teach me how to suture...

All great things listed.
I am a firm believer on the SPOT.
Mine works great. Gives exact cordinate location of where you.
Has one button called help. Lets you send a signal to friends that you are O.K. but need help.
Also emergency button that sends signal to local emergency help centers.
CAN NOT GO WRONG with this tool.
