Mine works great. Gives exact cordinate location of where you.
Has one button called help. Lets you send a signal to friends that you are O.K. but need help.
Also emergency button that sends signal to local emergency help centers.
CAN NOT GO WRONG with this tool.
i almost bought one of those a few years ago, do they still make them?

my wife would love it if i got one of those...

I use one when I backpack or back country ski, swear by it.

Yes they do.
You can get them at Sporting Good stores like Scheels or online at findmespot.com

I have an older one, I believe they have some more options with the newer ones.

They are a little spendy and do have a yearly fee, but the safety factor is without question. Especially if you are out in the back country with no one around for miles.

I know it was mentioned in one of the longer lists a few posts back as a pry bar 18 or 24". I call it a crow bar. That was one thing we didn't have that would have made a trail repair a whole lot easier. We also didn't have a hi-lift jack, because our buddy that has one and is normally with us couldn't make it that day. That's something else that should always be in the group.
A buddy unseated a front spring. He ended up pulling up on a stump to flex enough so we could free it up. We finally compressed it with ratchet straps enough to pry it back in place struggling with smaller tools.
So, my must-haves:
Crow bar - Moved from garage to Jeep
Hi Lift Jack - Still depending on my buddies

And all that other stuff y'all mentioned.

X2 on the hi lift jack

I think I'm pretty much the only one in our club who doesn't have one yet

But it's not real practical to jack up a mostly stock jk with a hi lift, once I get the heavy duty rock rails that will change
