Yes, that's the current plan. A concept drawing of the full set:

Thanks.

I'm going to make the first set the same width as the factory fenders because that's what my Jeep needs and the first set will be going on my Jeep.

If I decide to make a wider set for someone with wider tires to test, a one-off set can easily be made by splicing parts together from two "standard width" fenders, new molds wouldn't be required for a one-off test set.

And if a company picks these up for production and they decide to offer wider versions, it won't take long for them to get up and running with whatever other widths they want - wider masters would be made the same way, by splicing parts from standard width ones together, and then making new molds from those.

I think the rear might be difficult to do, since the front follows the line of the rear of the door on a JKU. Maybe be a little easier on a JK. Hopefully the JL will be close to the JK, so implementation might be rear smooth for the next generation Wrangler.

How would somebody contact you about production process?

I've done a detailed design for the rears on the JKU and the line of the rear door isn't an issue. The front of the fender can be straight and flat in spite of the slight curve of the rear door opening.

The best way to contact me privately is via email.

Default Not to interupt thread ! but i am lol

but do you know if this can holder is the same dimension as the side mount jerry can holder i got from retrofit offroad

because i only need the holder tray . i tried my air armor 240 military can ( air compressor) in my side jerry can holder today and it fits no wiggle room but works . and i need another
tray only . I contacted a few places and no one returned a response.

Again id prefer the same exact one that is used on the side mount jerry can holder
drivers side, but dont need the back plate or anything else just the tray
this one seems similar but i dont want to risk a different measurement not even a 1/8 " Thanks
MORryde Wrangler Tall Jerry Can Tray JP209-002 (87-17 Wrangler YJ, TJ, & JK) - Free Shipping
if this were the exact same measurements id grab one but i cant be sure . even though it says its made by morryde
& as i said above the orig one that came with my side mount , works perfect with no room for even a rattle . tight with about 1/8 clearance .is there a part number for that orig. one?

Retrofit source sells the Mor/Ryde product, as does Extreme Terrain. You could attempt to contact Ryan Wertz at Mor/Ryde but nothing says they've got to sell you just the plate you're seeking.

Here's a quick snapshot to answer your question. In the foreground is a JK side mount. In the background is a TJ side mount. The tray you linked to at Extreme Terrain is the tray that's on the TJ side mount. The length and width dimensions of both trays are identical, so if your Air Armor can fits in the tray that comes with the JK side mount it will fit in the tray you linked to.

I should know this, but sorry I don't know if the tray that's with the JK side mount has been released separately yet. If you really wanted that tray you could check with Ryan at MORryde (ryan.wertz@morryde.com), he can tell you if it's available (and may possibly be able to sell you one whether or not it's officially available)

BTW MORryde makes a third tray as well, it's not in the above photo. It's called the short tray: MORryde Wrangler Short Jerry Can Tray JP209-001 (87-17 Wrangler YJ, TJ, & JK) - Free Shipping

Default ok great

yes mines the one that came for my 2012 jk side mount jerry can holder.
ill buy this one that i linked you to . i just wanted to be certain the internal fit will be exact . like the one i have now. I tried e mailing him but wasnt sure if it was

ryan.wertz@morryde.com
or (ryan.wertz@morryde.com)
encased ? lol but if your sure the measurements would be exactly the same inside. id go with the one i showed in the link that says tj or jk
as long as it wouldnt vary in internal dimension at all because like i said thers just enough room with no wiggle room . and thats a good thing for my need.
it should work fine then . rather than waiting for responses on e mails from Ryan on this . Thank you for response as usual your helpful and always get back to us here .
Ill just order it and hope its the exact same inner measurements like you figure it will be
