Expedition Modded Jeeps - Let's see 'em!!
I put a centerforce clutch in my 2 dr manaul JK and it did make a huge difference. But I was also forced to because of the 5 lb of mud in the old one...
I run 35s (Duratracs) on an auto 4 dr sahara. I don't do a ton of offroading, more a daily driver, but I have kept an eye on it for sagging. Thankfully I didnt really see any issues over the last year and just added gussets to make sure I avoid it in the future.
On your previous comment regarding ride quality with a lift, I had the same issues with previous lifts and just upgraded to the AEV 3.5 with the reservoir shocks. The ride is better than stock!

(away on business right now so I can't look in my Jeep)
I figured this would be the best place to ask this. I need to sleep in the 4DR for two nights. What have people used in the back to fill the crack when you fold the seats down? I broke my back last year when I slept in it for one night!
Build a platform...many threads around on this, flattens rear with added benefit of storage or equipment (air pump/tank, subwoofer, etc) underneath. You could also go with just an SUV air matress, but will still not be flat. Best option I found was a RTT, but probably not worth it for just 2 nights, unless you are with someone incredibly special. If it's just you, go for an air mattress, a pint of whisky, and be done with it.
Friend of mine just shot his D30 while wheeling in Palo Duro Canyon. But, strangely enough, it wasn't the usual suspect, the small pinion gear. It was the ring gear the broke some teeth.
As someone else mentioned, MBRP. And MBRP basket. I also have the MBRP front extension, but need to modify it to work with the AEV snorkel. FYI, the MBRP rack I have is not compatible with the later models JKs (the ones with the larger window glass--10 and up, I think).
I think one of the best compromise tires out there (road and off-road travel, which typifies overlanding for most of us) is the Goodyear Duratrac. I started with stock SRAs, then Dick Cepek FC IIs, and not the Duratracs. The Duratracs have held up well in snow and ice, rain, mud, rocks, dry pavement. They are just a great, overall tire.
Surprisingly, my Jeep went through this and got stuck. I used the clutch to rock it about 12-15 times before I finally got it out of the hole. About 10K miles later when I changed the clutch (bad throwout bearing), the inside of the bell housing was clean as a whistle. This is contrary to the mantra "never shift in water because it will be sucked into the housing and ruin your clutch." Go figure ...
