I second that. The Duratrac's are a good all around tire.

Thanks to this thread, I've been introduced to the Overland Journal. I was on their website to purchase a subscription and it looks like I've just missed an article I would have really been interested in about Death Valley. We plan on going in the spring with our daughters to camp for a few days and see the wildflowers. Unfortunately, the Journal does not ship the current edition with new subscriptions.

I wish the Overland Journal was available through more retailers so that I could just go and get the current copy.

minus RTT and awning. Yet to fabricate stock tire carrier to make room for jerry can and 35" spare shoes.

edit: also building up the nerve to dump 1000 bucks into an ARB fridge/freezer. Ugh...why couldn't I just enjoy collecting stamps..

Cool rig! You have a spec list on that thing? The front end set up looks interesting!

Thanks!

The JK is:
-35x12.5 BFG A/T's w/ ProComp 7105's
-AEV 3.5" Premium kit
-Flowmaster 50 SUV/aFe Stage II CAI
-Gobi Stealth Rack w/ latter and all the wind deflectors (minis aren't on in the pic)
-Warn 9.5ti winch (and accoutrements)
-Warn Wireless 55w wind shield lights on rugged ridge mounts (been through salt and everything - no rust + uses mount location where it doesn't get in the way with other stuff ie rack)
-CB radio/smittybilt overhead and rear storage compartments (the military type)
-Multi colour 8 LED under car light kit installed inside (im a geek, and the ladies like it )

As for the front - Rugged Ridge winch plate with a 1"3/4 DOM light guard I bent and welded to the plate. Lights are the stock fogs off my TJ.

The TJ is for biting the rocks...the JK stays stock as possible keeping the empty weight as low as possible...hence the retention of plastic bumpers and the like. Once the little 3.8L goes, a HEMI will take its place and become the TJ's tow vehicle. I believe the reason as to the meagre 2900 lbs tow rating is because of the drive train (no transmission cooler). Anyway..off topic.
