Will it look stupid to have "rock-crawler" type front bumper and fenders and expedition gear (gobi roof rack, etc).

Thanks.
That's exactly what I plan on doing, as mine will be an expedition capable rock crawler or a rock crawling capable expedition rig, if there ever is such a thing. I'm interested in some opinions on that look too.

I say function before looks, But its your jeep make it yours. On another note I think a stubby bumper would look fine, be less weight, less money, and even better tire clearance. A full width AEV or ARB bumper will offer better protection, air bag compliant, high lift jacking points, and solid accessory attachment points I.e. winch, jack, CB antenna, shackles, and lights. Oh and better aero dynamics.

I LOVED this! I never have had any interest in the 'crawling rocks' type of off roading, but this looks like so much fun!! Especially if I could have stopped to fish that lake!

I'm going through this thread backwards page by page and I think every page has something else that I like/want! When I first joined the forums a week or two ago I was sure I wasn't going to do much off roading. I'm not into the rock climbing type of stuff. But camping, and fishing..... I'm game anytime! I may end up doing more off road than I thought... eventually!

That lens, BTW, is the best walk-around lens I've ever used for daylight outdoor shots. I use the 24-70 f/2.8 for twilight, night and indoor shots.

See, I was all ready to send you a friend request, and find you on facebook, and then you went and ruined it! You had to say the "C" word! LOL (I shoot Nikon!!)

Seriously though, I think I would so very much love a photographic off road trip! I've been watching your videos all night and I think I'd like to get my Jeep muddy now.
