Will adding flat fenders (nemesis odyssey) and a stubby front bumper negate the expedition-ness of my rig? I want to use it for weekend and eventually week long expeditions and camping trips but I really like the low COG advantages that flat fenders provides. Will it look stupid to have "rock-crawler" type front bumper and fenders and expedition gear (gobi roof rack, etc).
Thanks.

I LOVED this! I never have had any interest in the 'crawling rocks' type of off roading, but this looks like so much fun!! Especially if I could have stopped to fish that lake!

That is one HOT jeep!
I'm going through this thread backwards page by page and I think every page has something else that I like/want! When I first joined the forums a week or two ago I was sure I wasn't going to do much off roading. I'm not into the rock climbing type of stuff. But camping, and fishing..... I'm game anytime! I may end up doing more off road than I thought... eventually!
Look into the clubs in your area or the area forum you could prolly find some good areas that are light off road good for camping we have a few up here in the pacific north west and there is always preparing for a trip to Moab or go nuts and go threw south america
That particular image was shot with a Canon 7D, 24-105mm, f/4 L-series lens at 105mm. ISO 200. F/7.1. 1/1600 sec. Hope that helps.
That lens, BTW, is the best walk-around lens I've ever used for daylight outdoor shots. I use the 24-70 f/2.8 for twilight, night and indoor shots.

See, I was all ready to send you a friend request, and find you on facebook, and then you went and ruined it! You had to say the "C" word! LOL (I shoot Nikon!!)
Seriously though, I think I would so very much love a photographic off road trip! I've been watching your videos all night and I think I'd like to get my Jeep muddy now.
