I've seen cooler looking rear bumpers.... but I'm not sure I've seen more functional ones.
Thanks. The AEV set-up was always my first choice but the cost and hi-jack mount were a drawback for me.

I have an M416 trailer which I outfitted to carry gas and water, so that isn't a real necessity, but more is always better.......

Now, the Expedition One bumper and tire carrier is superb !! Easy home installation and opens smoothly with the trunk door. I wanted full width rear protection, and this is the most wide, solidly built rear JK bumper IMO.

I'm waiting for the spring release of their Rotopax gas can holder, and will then secure my Hi-Lift to that, or make some brackets to mount it diagonally along the tire carrier frame.
For some reason I seemed to remember that I read somewhere that Expedition One gave up on the Rotopax gas can holder because they could not get DOT certification for their version of the rotopax gas can? (they do have a 4 gallon water can). Click image for larger version

I was sad to hear that, since I love that configuration which allows you 8 gallons total (2x 4 gallons) and you can carry water and/or gas in different configurations.
But I am incouraged to hear that they are coming out with a Rotopax holder this spring.. Westchester can you give more information on when/where you heard this information and did Expedition supply any pricing?

I also love the look of their front bumper and their rock rails (incorporates step plates in stainless steel.. My kids will like that).

You should look at the Rockhard rear bumper. It has all the accessory mounts most people would need. Mine was under $1000 with shipping and sales tax from Bustabizz at 4WD.

The hi-lift mount is included and the latch has never rattled from day 1.

Good luck in your search.

I bought the bumper in December from a vendor that told me this.

I just spoke to Ex One to clarify, they are working on a universal (Rotopax and jerry can) single can holder but unsure of release date. I asked if would be spring time, and they wouldn't give a time estimate or pricing info.

....and you are correct, the EPA squashed their own gas can mold, which their prior carrier design was made for.

I found the original thread with the Expedition One carrier gas can holder, for those interested. Last couple of posts talks about the wonderful EPA:
