Very inspiring. I think we are all drooling for a trip like that. It would be awesome to see that beauty and experience the Saudi culture in person.

Thanks! yea we didn't expect a perfect trip but we were blown away. The weather was excellent throughout the week.

We started planning for the SNE (saudi northern expedition) in Aug 2012. We meet every day to plan for each segment of the trip. There are no trails or OHV trail systems here. So we had to plan very carefully relaying on satellite images and data we get from people that are familiar with some of those areas. SNE took place on October 2012 and took us 7 days. We have just a little over 4,000KM. It was an outstanding trip that we will never forget.

Most of the time it's only the cardboard box that was damaged. The Tupei guys took photos of three tents and emailed them to me before I decided.
On the Autana, is the annex four sided or just three for privacy? Does it have a floor? Trying to talk the wife out of a ground tent because an annexed RTT can keep the dogs close and dry. And then I have to talk myself into putting a brick on the roof.

The CVT (Casscade Vehicle Tent) tent I have included a 4 sided annex with a floor for less money than most of the others and many of those didn't have the 4th side or the floor. I had the same discussion with my wife about the dog. That's why I went with the CVT over the others. Check out their website. Just google cvt tent

Thanks! Why can't someone make a lightweight, compact RTT?

The Tupei tents have four sided annex's with a heavy waterproof floor zipped in. You can use the Annex with or without the floor as the hold down loops are sewn into the wall portion of the annex. Also one side has a zippered door and zippered screen, two have zippered windows and zippered screens, and the side against the vehicle has a zippered door.

Full video from last month's run of Buckhorn OHV trails and Devil's Den State Park, AR, is now online ...

EDIT: I watched this five times over two days to wring out all mistakes before uploading it, and still left "Teasers" on the very first slide. Doh!
