I've got the XL9000s but can't see how they help with sag when being loaded. I'm not real smart but don't shocks only help control body movement over dips and bumps? They don't support the weight of the vehicle, that is the job of the springs.

Yep. But a firmer setting may stop you from bottoming out when hitting dips and such.

Springs will hold up the jeep. Shocks help too. Nitro gen adjustable shocks will definitely help but worsen the ride correct?

I don't mind having a rake when unloaded but didn't know exactly what options are out there. I was initially thinking that a front bumper/winch combo would drop the front enough to level the rig out when loaded but now feel like a rear bumper/tire carrier will drop the rear as well.

What options are there to fix the rake while expo loaded? What do you guys wiuse?
- coil spacer in the rear, how big of a spacer?
- go with a +3" spring for the rear in place of the current 2.5"
- rear adjustable coil spacers (JKS ACOS)
- deal with it
I (and a friend of mine) run OME HD springs in the rear with that lift. Makes a world of difference. If you go light, however, you'll want the TF springs back there. Takes me about 20 minutes by myself to swap those springs.

This is a bit off topic. But in your opinions is it worth having a soft top with a rack on the jeep?

Depends on your needs. The MBRP rack is gone unless the hardtop is installed. That works for me.

Not really an off-road trip, but found a bit of the Old Natchez Trace to follow ...
