Mark, how long of a drive was it from Oklahoma to the start of the route?

I took my time, wandering around a bit, stopping and shooting a few photos here and there. Three days should do it, otherwise.

My wife and I spent a week camping on backcountry roads in Big Bend. It's a great trip. There's also some great hiking trails in the area. The view from the south rim is amazing.

Beautiful photos Mark, and those wildflowers, simply gorgeous. I was stationed at Ft Lewis in the early 70's and l love Washington. Was this a June/July trip? Around here, (Utah) the wildflowers arrive in early spring.
