They ain't cheap (which is why I don't have one!). And, we had to leave them during part of the Canyon de Chelly run because the guide was very concerned they wouldn't make it out to Spider Rock (tall spire in one of the pictures). He was somewhat right: We did have to winch one time to the nearby place to stash the trailers. And there were several other places along that stretch of trail that were even more challenging--slippery with mud and snow. We would have made it--eventually--but not without a whole bunch of winching/towing.

beautiful!

The pitbull reminded me of the first US cross-country roadtrip. In 1903 it was the first car most people had seen, so the dog kept anyone from messing with it when they were in town. The documentary is on netflix "Horatio's Drive: America's First Road Trip"

I like the trasharoo idea. May have to get me one.

Well, the friend I helped modify his Jeep in Washington and I have been planning a trip to Alaska along the Al-Can Highway for later this spring. However, he is now scheduled for hip replacement surgery, so that may throw a kink into the mix. There is also a nearby trip later this month to the Ozark Overland Route that I will probably go on. Then later this year a trip to Big Bend National Park. And I'm certain I'll find a couple other ones to throw into the mix. Ah, the life of being retired. LOL.
