Does everybody concur that I need a lift in order to put this bumper on and run that winch?
I would say to keep it factory looking, you will probably want the 3/4" spacers on the front. That should take care of things. although, are you adding a rear bumper also? If so, you made need to add to the rear also. But for the front winch, and bumper only, I would think 3/4" would suit your tastes/needs just fine.

JUST MY OPINION though, I am VERY FAR from an expert. Just going by the HOURS of research I have been doing in the last 2 years on this forum to get my perfect setup. Notice I am STILL wanting to change it again

Right. You wouldn't be lifting it higher, just compensating for the additional weight.
You can get 1/2-3/4" spacers for around $10ea. at your local parts store.

Best bet is to add your bumpers, then see if you still like it at the new heighth. If you wanna raise it back to where you are now, do it.
Your jeep is just that...yours.
In the end, just do what you want with it.

Another thing to consider is how the additional weight of a bumper/winch combination will effect handling and ride chracteristics. While installing coil spacers will raise the front of the jeep to compensate for the additional weight, the stock coils will still be under the weight of your bumper/winch.

My advice would be to swap out to a front coil rated for the load such as the OME HD coils.

90lbs. Is that a lot? Doesn't seem that bad.

It's a lot for the stock coil springs. I placed my new XD9000i Warn winch in the box on my stock bumper to see what it would do. The warn winch box weighs somewhere around 90lbs & dropped my front end of my Sahara JK with 2" RE BB about 1/2". When I add on my LoD Mid-width my front may drop another 1/4 to 1/2" thus the reason I am going with the HD OME coil springs.

Some day, when I win the lottery I'll be in the market for a front bumper. It's amazing how many bumpers are made for our rigs. And how many variations there are of each bumper. Either way, thanks for the info.

I would skip the 1/2" and 3/4" spacer. Personally, I would go w/ a 1 3/4" (daystar) or 2" (teraflex).

1/2" imo, is not even worth the $ unless you're already lifted and just trying to perfect the rake..

I wonder how heavy the stock bumper is? I would love to be able to compare to some other bumpers...

The stock bumpers weigh next to nothing they are mostly plastic I could weigh mine but they are packed away in the garage and I am lazy.

But they are real light.
