The other day I walked up to my Jeep parked in the front of my house and the gas cap was out and hanging down. This was the second time I found it like this. The first time I thought maybe I forgot to put it on after filling. The second time now tells me there's someone f**king with my shi*t. Gas in my area is $4.15 there abouts so I think this will start to be more prevalent. Whether someone's trying to steal my gas or messing with me freaks me out so I ordered a locking gas cap and threw it on last night. Anyone else seeing this happen?

 

Been thinking of getting one my self, found one once that would be key matched to the ignition wish I could find that again. Dont like people messing with my stuff either

 

I have a locking gas cover on Jeep, bought this a couple weeks after I got my Jeep, with gas prices I never wanted to risk it. I got mine off eBay, it was some knockoff, its lasted great and only recently the paint started peeling, so gonna rattlecan some bedliner on it later.

 

with what everybody is expecting gas to be i wouldn't doubt that people would be more than willing to open your cap and tap your tank. i'm gonna keep an eye out for a locking cap as well.

I was thinking of getting the locking fuel door but wasn't sure it was for looks or if the security was for real. How do you like yours? Is it secure? On the locking cap it spins without the key so you can't get it off.

Have the same thing. Got rid of my locking gas cap and got this.

Oh ya and its only going to get worse with the drive offs and sucking the gas out of the hard working communities vehicles. You should call your local police department and ask for a pwp so at least they will be sent a run at night to check around your residence at night.
