One thing you northern guys forget is that we are completely unprepared for that kind of weather here in the south. We get more ice than snow and all they spread is sand! I lived in NY for 3 years and I know how to drive in the snow. There is no driving on a sheet of ice.

Indeed. I grew up in Wisconsin, now live near Houston. Our "Icepocalypse" events here the past couple weeks have been thoroughly entertaining.

Nice pic though.

We are supposed to be getting over a foot in the foothills tonight, sounds like some more snow pic's will be popping up over the weekend.

I'm gonna have to agree with you on people down here not being able to drive.

This was when the jeep was stock but I think this is a pretty cool pic here in NC.

I know peoples in Atlanta and it was kind of "funny" the way they describe what happened... In Canada, we don't calculate the amount of snow falling in inches but more in feet... This pic give a good example of what where dealing with almost everyday

Took a trip from Washington down to California on hwy 101 to the redwood forest. Definitely recommend this drive... Even though it was January we took the freedom panels off and drove all over Northern California. It made driving through the forest way cooler

I get that everyone from a snowy area likes to poke fun at this, and I know most are doing it all in good fun, but I think the whole "it was just 2 inches of snow" comments are pretty overplayed. The snow wasn't the issue, it was the fact that every road in and around Atlanta turned to solid ice just before the afternoon commute. Add a complete lack of preparation by the city (no salt/sand/or whatever else you use to melt/prevent ice) and 1.5 million people trying to go home at the same time, and it is a cluster**** waiting to happen. If it was "just 2 inches of snow", it wouldn't have even made the news.
