Happily though, I did get my new sway bar end links today! These are the Synergy units. Fit is good, I didn't have to do any drilling and I was even able to reuse the quick disconnects I fabbed previously.

* Sway Bar Links - $56

Subbed!

I love messing with OEM stuff (look for my LED swap stuff) so I think I'll mess with the ATC and Autolamps next.

Great mods all around, just spent an hour reading!

Ok so a bit of googling led me to a Dodge Journey forum...

Seems a bunch of them have attempted this also, recently the LMG sales code was taken off of STAR, as has been reported here already...

BUT...

There's this post:

So this is where we are sitting now, the Dealership called and Chrysler added the sales code LMG to our VIN build sheet and I have an appointment to get the computer reflashed Monday 16Apr2015. The Rep said however it may or may not work becuase they don't know if the wire for the automatic headlights is hooked up between the sun sensor and the A/C heater module.

I'm going to ping the mechanic I know where I bought my truck and see if I can get this done in a similar fashion.

If not, at least I know the ATC works.

Thanks guys!

Not much action going on with my rig in the way of upgrades. I took it up north to the National Forest 2 weeks ago and am headed out to one of our offroad parks (Bundy Hill) on Sunday to have some fun with it!

@Mike, blues43 got the auto headlights working through a 3rd party so you may want to PM him!

Super sweet build. I'm trying to do the ATC upgrade and have everything I need except the elusive salvaged Connector. I've exhausted the web and eBay searches. Do you have another source you're willing to share??
Thanks

Default Leather Armrest Swap

Great Build! I also bought a leather armrest but have NO IDEA how to swap out the lock. Do you have any photos on how you did that? THANKS!!!

I can say the lowers matched up to the factory C well, no metal work needed. The uppers, not so much. I needed to do a bit of cutting and grinding to get them to a state where gap to the C was weldable.

Since I still have the axle out and it's still easy to work on, I think I've made the decision to just go ahead and replace the ball joints now. It saves the hassle of doing it later when it's under the Jeep. So, stay tuned for that!

Oh yeah, I still have issues with drinking while surfing eBay so I now also have a leather console armrest from a C.O.D. JKU. Guess I need to find the matching leather seats too! Just to make myself feel better I looked up the retail cost, $380!!! Glad I payed no where near that!

- The stock one is on the left.

- Costs:
* Leather C.O.D. Console Lid - $56

Yeah, that was a bit of a puzzle. I cheated and swapped the lock and plastic bezel that holds it in.

On the underside of the armrest is a big plastic piece that holds maps and what not. That just snaps in, use a small flathead screwdriver or trim removal tool to help separate them. If I recall, there are a few screws under that that hold the bezel assembly...and the lock, in. Slide the bezel assembly out and thou should be all set!

Sorry, I didn't take any photos when I was in there.
