Default My Rubi build - (LODs, 35's, tube fenders, no lift)

I wanted to share my build so far on our 2012 JKU Rubicon. I've taken it out twice to KS Rocks ORV Park (Ft. Scott, KS) on black extreme trails and it did really well. I haven't ran with the electronic swaybar disconnected yet as the terrain didn't warrant it...but I don't believe I'll have clearance issues. This is our 2nd JK...the other is an '08 JK X built up fairly well.

My goal was to set this up on 35's...without changing the suspension or drivetrain. I had envisioned using high clearance flat flares like (Poison Spyder, MetalCloak, or Ace) and ended up going with Ace. I also wanted to limit the weight I put on the front since I wasn't planning on changing the suspension. I think the LOD Armor Lite bumper is a really solid unit and doesn't hardly weigh anything. I added the SuperWinch Talon 9.5i SR with synthetic cable and saved another 20lbs. The LOD rear/carrier is a monster of a bumper but did settle the JK back to what I'd say is more of the factory rake/stance.

Turns out Northridge/LOD shipped me the linked version but I had ordered the one that locked via a handle. After installing it I am glad I ended up with the linked version and so is the misses since she can just open it via the tailgate and not have to open the carrier then open the tailgate.

I have the factory front fender liners trimmed and installed but will be pulling them and installing the MetalCloak aluminum fender liners soon. After researching I feel they will cover the core/important components very well.

I got a sweet price on the Toyo MTs via treaddepot on Black Friday - no shipping...woot woot..

Hats off to all the vendors on the build list...quality parts and easy installs.

Build List:
LOD Armor Lite Shorty Front Bumper w/Stinger
SuperWinch Talon 9.5i SR
LOD Gen 3 Shorty Rear Bumper/Tire Carrier Linked to Door version
35x12.5R17 Toyo Open Country MTs
SpyderTrax 1 ½” Wheel Spacers
Ace Engineering Narrow High Clearance Flat Fender Flares
MetalCloak Inner Fender/Wheel Well Liners (I haven’t installed these yet)

Let me know what you think!! BTW - the TJ in the pic is a co-worker on 35's with 8 inches of lift.

Sweet ride. I'm also a fan of LOD bumpers.

I like it a lot you might want to add just a 1 inch coil spacer up front to take out the little rack there is but it is sweet

I think it would be perfect with a leveling kit

Thanks all for the responses...it was fun to pick out the items to outfit the Jeep with. I think next up is a beefier steering stabilizer and some more armor underneath (ORE skids, C reinforcements, front LCA skids, diff covers).
