well i have to put a new steering box in my cuz's YJ now ... so i pick up those parts tonight after work. thats my first line of jeep work to finish up.
tonight i'm also pickin up the new windshield glass, guna drop it onto the frame before i paint it to make sure it's not warped. then the glass ppl will just come install it whenever the paint is done. and speakin of paint, i really hope this guy calls back today with a reasonable price ...
hopefully there will be pics of perfectly fit glass tonight

just got a call from the other paint guy ... he was feedin me a bunch of BS so he's out.
a guy from another forum hasn't gotten back to me recently so i don't know about him yet ... its lookin more and more like i'll be sprayin it myself in the driveway ...

i'm not sure i'll paint them yet ... no way i have the funds to do so if i take the jeep in to be painted. but if i do the paint myself i still might. right now i'm leaning towards painting it myself, unless a buddy's buddy wants to help out for a few bucks.
plus it looks like this board votes "no" to the paint

... ok ...
so the glass didn't drop in just perfect like i had hoped. however, i think i shouldn't have too much issue getting things strait. it seams as though the top and bottom came together slightly so i'll just stretch it out some!
... everyone cross your damn fingers for me!

just got confirmation from home that 2 HUGE boxes arived for me! that would be the hood and the batt tray/LCA. said the hood box looked undamaged in shipping so i'm crossing my fingers that sheet metal is still strait!
first thing when i get home is getting the steering box and new pressure line back into my cuz's YJ, then settin the hood on and gettin that LCA in place. i also hope to get some pics of the glass un-fit, but most likely won't have time tonight to try and pull that thing back into shape.
for painting you may want to try carnegie motors, its on route 50 in scott/carnegie, my girlfriends dads shop, he may be able to work with you if its cash and he does the work on the weekend, are you painting the whole thing or just parts to match the rest?
DUDE!!!! PM sent!
got more parts!
first thing was gettin the steering box bask into the YJ. thank GOD i bought that impact, went so much better. she's workin great, but there seams to me a lot of air still coming out. and the pump is still whining a little more then normal ... hopefully it all works out.
got the new LCA in. again, impact FTW. battery tray is all in as well. that thing looked like it would be WAY more of a pain then it was. disconnect 2 plugs and lay things aside and it snakes right out.
set the hood on there, she shipped perfect!! not a scratch!!
that means she is officially mechanically done. i need to open up one hole on the bumper to get a bolt in, then chassis coat and rattle can the rear x-member and pass front LCA mount on the frame.
the body work is done with the exception of minor final sanding, and a minor stretch of the windshield frame. neither should take much. as you can see i already have the glass to test fit and that's how i know the frame is a little warped ...
glass install will happen the day after paint ... and hopefully that will happen soon!

and for anyone who hadn't yet seen the workings of a JK winch mount ... plus i saw the thread of the shift linkage so i took a pic of mine for no good reason.
