All JKs have the sentry key theft immobilizer key. If your key wasn't programmed, your Jeep wouldn't start. As a matter of fact, it you tried to start it with a non chip key, not even your chip key would start it unless reprogrammed.

Your key is gray right?

Try like 150 to 200 freakin bucks!

You have to have 2 working "chip" keys to program a third (normal chip key is $13 shipped on ebay). If you only have 1 key, stealership has to "program" 2nd key....and they screw you. Some forum guys have gotten a locksmith to do it for under $100......you need to call around.

And order the $13 one to program yourself after you get key #2.......its cheap insurance in case you lose one of the first 2.....

the programmer tells me U1147 is "ADDITIONAL INTERIOR CAN ECU DETECTED" ... so?

i swear i'm rebuilding this thing ... i am not a chop shop ... i did however find more stuff in the dash!! a red bic lighter fell out

got it ALL apart ... lookin around and all seams well ... playing more under the hood with a continuity test ... I FOUND THE DAMN WIRE AND ITS MISSING FUSE!! guess what, pin 16 works now. and BTW, its M30.

did not however fix the 2 error codes that keep coming back ... maybe there were more fuses ganked under the hood so i'm guna get a handful and just fill em all up!

all in all, i spent 3 hours out there gettin it totally apart ... messing with stuff ... then gettin it totally back together. was entertaining while it rained out, and damnit if i'm not an expert on JK dashes now

pics inside are for reference of where a cage A-pillar tube should be. looks like bad news for the outside air ducts and door window defogers ...
