Default Rugged ridge stuff after one winter

Just thought I would share on how rugged ridge stuff holds up in buffalo.

It is corrosion, that does not wash off. I an flake the paint off where it is white.

The fuel door picture doesn't show but the entire thing is a big bubble.

I get this washed a lot in the winter to get the salt off, did not work.

I can see the bubbles on the fuel door... That's weird! Mines held up really well. No damage! And it's seen a pretty harsh winter

The weirdest thing is that the paint on the fuel door is in perfect condition, no corrosion, nicks, cracks, .... Nothing.

The temperature most likely played a part in it, it was 30 one day, 59 the next and then 25 the next.

As for plastidip on the inserts, you would have to sand blast the corrosion off or it will bubble again.. Doesn't seem to be worth the work.

No offense but , the rest of your jeep doesn't look much better , how often do you wash the salt off ? Have you lived there long enough to know that the salt is bad for everything ? Have you looked under your Jeep to see how the frame and other things look ? Other than that , isn't that crap made in China ?
