there was a member on a different forum that had 2 2012 crush rubicons stolen in San Diego. One ended up wrecked in the AZ desert and I think the other made its way to Mexico.

I was planning to move to SD so I better find a place with a garage.

I would recommend LoJack with Early Warning. I live in San Diego, too, and I hope everything turns out okay for you fercho.

Damn!!! I actually live in Tijuana. My jeep is parked outside all night (behind a fence), but I also have 3 dogs that roam the property 24/7... I have seen a couple nice jeeps in the area, but 1 is owned by my buddies brother who owns a body shop a couple doors down. That is one hell of a story and it's amazing how we can spot our own jeeps and point to the "battle scars"...

Flatbed tow trucks are the movers for many stolen vehicles with chipped keys. Clubs are deterrents for the casual attempted robbery, but are defeat-able in 3 seconds with a "E" shaped vice/press tool. It sucks.

I've actually thought about wiring a hidden kill switch my fuel pump, but not sure how the sensitive JK computer will react. Plus, my dumb-ass would probably forget to turn it back on more often than not...

You would if you enjoy summer 365 days a year... I've been stationed on the east coast, mid-west, PNW and now live in SoCal and will never move unless it's to Australia!

Haven't been stationed on east coast but been all over Asia and Australia and I agree, cost of living is about the same and if I could I would move to Australia, but socal is a close second

Heck almost sounds like you will soon have to pull the ecu every time you get out of the jeep. Sorry to hear about your ride.
