The factory wheels and tires will not rub with the Tera 2.5" BB. I did not add a spacer and my tires did not even come close to rubbing with the stock wheels/tires. After switching out to 35s on ProComp wheels, I still barely get any rubbing (still no spacer in front)-- although I do rub against my bumper a little at full stuff/full turn. I also get some rubbing against the disconnected swaybar link (teraflex) at full stuff/turn.

You dont need them but it gives the Jeep a wider stance and makes the stockers look larger. Then down the road it allows you to retain the stock wheels and you just have to buy tires. Saves money IMO.
