Notices
JK Show & Tell Whether they're just poser shots in your driveway or hardcore action shots on the trail, if you've got photos or videos of your Jeep JK Wrangler (or any JK for that matter that you think is worth showing off, inside or out), we want to see them so please post them here! Likewise, if you are wanting to see a photo of something specific like an aftermarket JK part or poser shot with a specific setup, this is the place to ask for it.

What was done to your JK this week?

Hinges are a snap. I sanded and filed the corosion off and coated them w/ 3 or 4 coats. I did sand the crap off the doors a little with a sanding pad, but I'm not sure if I want to tape off the door and prime those spots or not. I might just slap the hinges back on. Be sure to carefully cut the paint around the hinges before you pop them off to avoid chipping the paint on the door.

Whyd you do that? Does the paint chip off the hinges?

Yeah, it's a common problem. The aluminum hinges react with the steel doors and cause a reaction that bubbles the paint on the hinges. Mine were getting pretty bad, so I just bit the bullet and took care of it.

I might go back and do that later. I wasn't prepared for what I found under there. I knew it wasn't painted, I just didn't anticipate the corrosion on the door as well.
