JK Show & Tell Whether they're just poser shots in your driveway or hardcore action shots on the trail, if you've got photos or videos of your Jeep JK Wrangler (or any JK for that matter that you think is worth showing off, inside or out), we want to see them so please post them here! Likewise, if you are wanting to see a photo of something specific like an aftermarket JK part or poser shot with a specific setup, this is the place to ask for it.

What was done to your JK this week?

I actually did this a few weeks ago, but thought I'd join the crowd. Warn Elite Front Bumper with Grille Guard. Instead of a rear bumper, I put a Warn winch on instead. The instructions were pathetic for the bumper, so I had to search online for other references. I was not enthused about cutting the frame, but I liked the bumper, so what's a guy to do....cut the frame. Running the winch wires required taking the airbox out temporarily. I did not realize how much juice the winch eats. I have not searched on here about a larger alternator, but the dual battery systems might be in the cards (so expensive though). Headlights and foglamps are somewhere down the road. I just need to find the right ones for this bumper.

I think most people agree that a larger alternator won't help you run a winch; the power comes from the battery. And you're right; it's damn expensive to set up a dual battery system correctly. Don't know how hard you wheel, but in 5 years of owning my JKUR, I've only used the winch once to pull somebody out; all other uses have been for gardening projects (pulling out bushes, etc.). So no dual battery setups in my future....

Rugged Ridge hood catch. Easy install when you have the right tools. I didn't have to remove my grill to install on the passenger side.
