JK Show & TellWhether they're just poser shots in your driveway or hardcore action shots on the trail, if you've got photos or videos of your Jeep JK Wrangler (or any JK for that matter that you think is worth showing off, inside or out), we want to see them so please post them here! Likewise, if you are wanting to see a photo of something specific like an aftermarket JK part or poser shot with a specific setup, this is the place to ask for it.
i decided to pull all the carpet out of my 2007 Rubicon unlimited....... Glad I did, found some issues. Driver side floor had to be replaced, ordered a part but wasn't very sturdy so my local garage/mechanic/welder fabricated a part. Passenger side was repairable and the rest wasn't bad. Then put Rust-oleum truck bed down. I debated and then put it over the plugs. I've never removed them in this Jeep or my old 2 Door. I did clean up the carpet and put it in the back area, leaving the front and rear seat flooring with just the bedliner and heavy duty Rugged Ridge floor mats. I've not noticed to much more road noise (Jeep was never super quiet), but after 20 years in the Air Force on/near the flight line my hearing isn't the best. Plus I listen to music rather loudly. lol I like it.......
Tear down took a while and finished last week and upgrades started this week... Wanted to improve on road manners and capability off road... After many trips though serious Kentucky mud I decided to replace front hubs... Took every trick in the book to get them out... Shafts rusty but fine but why not upgrade to CVs.... You know for tight turns...Axle tubes so nasty removed inner axle seals (considered upgrading axles but that is way in the future - reached out to local shop for C reinforcements/sleeves/trusses but nothing so if they bend - replace)... Lack of adjustable trackbar had axle shifted pass side leading to a brake line rub... New lines, bled system... why not have adjustable Track bar in the rear...Red sounds good...Why not upgrade to a big brake kit so I can have bigger tires someday and be safer on road... Yeah Safety...Decided to pull steering and start the long process of beefing everything up getting ready for bigger tires less flex in the front end... Put a top draglink for more clearance and future geometry... throw on a few brackets for strength and geometry...Learn how to modify my Nexus Steering adapter mount to the 1 5/8 ... Learn how strong red loctite is and how heat is only thing that removes it... If I want to upgrade tires later I will need a higher lift so how about adjustable control arms... Then next time a wrench hits it or a big out west trip trip taller shocks springs later... Lots of Youtube videos, forum posts and some BFH therapy, lost of rust dust to get it to this point... New bolts, anti seize arrived yesterday along with inner axle seals...
Inner seals replaced! What an adventure... Diff goes back in later...

I haven't ever contributed to this thread and what I did last week made me post. I've had my '15 since brand new. I put on a 4" Rancho lift with about 1000 miles on it and have ran that for the last 75k miles. Ran some 35" (measured more like 34") Dick Cepek fun country's till about 6k miles ago and then switched to some 37" patagonias. I swore I'd wait to pay it off before I really started doing dumb stuff to it. So over the last year I've been slowly upgrading things. I did front and rear TEN Factory 4140 chromoly driveshafts with 1310 u joints. This week I replaced the clutch at 76k miles with a Centerforce dual friction. I did have to replace the slave cylinder too. Started to leak so just went ahead and replaced it. I am shocked how easy the clutch pedal feel is! Kept bleeding it and bleeding it thinking it was soft, but it's just how easy it is. Definitely glad I did it. While I had that dropped out I went ahead and upgraded to the B&M short throw shifter. It is a HUGE upgrade and takes some getting used to after driving the sloppy ass shifter for 76k miles! You gotta be a man to get it over into reverse. My fiance is going to hate it LOL. Also replaced the transfer case handle too. It's nice to have it much more accessible. While I had the underside tore apart, I went ahead and added the full Artec aluminum under belly skid system and crossmember. I honestly can't say I "needed it" but it's just one less thing I would have to mess with in the future. Not a total knock against Artec but there weren't any instructions and the ones online are so so. Trimming the rear of the stock gas tank skid and the hole that you gotta feed that nut into was the worst. Also figuring out the damn nut strip (which is just for manuals) was super confusing until we figured out it went above the crossmember. It is super nice that is a modular design and do install another one would be a lot easier. Now I wait for the next Metalcoak sale and will upgrade the lift to either their long arm kit or the gamechanger. Still on the fence.
Love the B&M shifter!!! Added an iDrive throttle controller so I could be softer off road and more aggressive everywhere else - It works amazingly well! Nice upgrades!!!

I run the pedal commander and loved it with the stock clutch and shifter and REALLY enjoy it now!
What was done to my Jeep this week? I've got a MC 3.5 Gamechanger in my cart and thinking about pulling the trigger if I could just find a deal on a wheel/tire package that looks good. Any recommendations?

I'm sure you already know but running 35's will be safe and 37's you'll get mixed reviews. I always say the wheels depend on your preference and what color your jeep is.
Thanks. Yep I’m most likely going 35s but I’m aware of the difference in 37s and lift heights /expense involved to do it right. I’ve previously run 35s and 37s and used JKS lifts and Rancho lifts on my other JK.
