What was done to your JK this week?
Packing the bearing is a bear- wear gloves and just keep pushing, it'll come through the other side eventually. Installing those bolts is also a pain because you've got to spiral around more than "a few" times to make sure they're all coming down evenly. If you don't bring them down evenly then you'll really mar up the high angle flange. Get the clamp as tight as you can otherwise you'll spit grease and be right back in the same spot you were before.
Also- they give a tiny tube of blue loctite- use every ounce of it and maybe even have your own on hand. If the bolts loosen up you'll start spitting grease. You spit grease and then you get a vibe. You get a vibe and investigate and you'll find a toasted joint.
Other than those minor nuances, it's not bad. I'm slowly breaking it in and re-checking torque on the bolts. To control it, I spent the day driving instead of jumping right back into the daily grind. 50 miles, check. 100 miles, check. I'll probably come back at 300 miles (a tank of gas) and check again. After that I'm sure the torque will be stabilized and set.
