Finished Armoring Up... just in time to go to Rausch Creek for the East Coast Easter Jeep Safari!

Rock Hard Oil Skid, Rock Hard Transfer Case Skid & Rock Hard Evap Skid.

Stuff is pretty beefy but a bit feisty to get on/aligned. Thank goodness for 2 jacks to lift those metal beasties up.

I dont have pics yet but I wired up my offroad lights and mounted two front recovery points. With my tube bumpers I was a little puzzled as to how to mount recovery points up front. I found some very heavy duty 1.50" square tubing and tractor drawbar grab hooks. The Tractor drawbar hooks are rated at 10k. Drilled holes into the frame and bolted the tubing into the frame with grade 8 bolts. Then attached the drawbar hook to the tubing. I then added some welds to the frame and tubing just for added strenght and was done. It seems very sturdy and should work when I need to give or receive a pull.

No they were a pleasant surprise when ripping open the box. I actually wrote Smitty and told them they were underselling them selves by having such horrible pics of them.

Yell if you need more, but I am 200% pleased....we got way more then what we paid for them.

Default Getting ready

Getting ready to put the newly powder coated stock wheels on the 09 Rubi. I had to paint the lugs and and hub inserts to make sure everything matches.

Sanded with 400 grit sandpaper

Two LIGHT coats of Duplicolor flat black primer

Two LIGHT coats of Duplicolor flat black automotive paint

Two LIGHT coats of Duplicolor clear coat and we get the finished product

I'll post them with the wheels on tomorrow.
