I think its just sound deadening material so it shouldn't hurt. There was another thread on here about it. I have it on my hood, but I don't understand why everyone hates it so much?

Why do some jeeps come with the hood insulation and others not, Mines a 2010, it never had it.

think it for noise and to my understanding it depend on the trim level you buy
