Thumbs down Red Herring

So where's the recall for the overheating issue with the automatic due to inadequate cooling? This "recall" removes the auto tranny skidplate because of the risk of debris getting wedged, catching fire from converter heat. Leaves the rock- grabber bar. Typical corporate response to a problem. Ignore; deny ; perform a 15 minute " fix " that leads to other problems. Thank you, Chrysler.

Sorry dam phone. Ment we lose a skid plate. This makes no sense at all. Maybe they can also fix a leaking roof by removing it and putting in a bar.

x2 ! ! !

I dropped this skid plate when i installed the AEV 3½" lift - since it limited travel of the drive shaft. I've been looking for this recall and was hoping it was going to be the transmission cooler fix.

I logged in and checked my build sheet and listed transmission skid bar instead of plate so you can check that out to see if you are affected.

I just received the recall notice today, dealer says it's like a T bar. I'll know by this Sat, how it looks and acts.
