2012 is basically just an interior upgrade

Sticker was $37,745. I'm in Dallas, Tx.

Thanks!

p.s., I bet the black with black matched roof looks GREAT.

Yeah when I was on the highway u could feel a bit more power but "it's a jeep" screw the highway!!! My 2010 auto with 5.13's felt the same as the 2012 around town. What a unbelievable disappointment!!! Now if u put larger tires on u r back to the same dogging as before!!!!

Now as to when I did feel a different was when I drive a 2012 2door bone stock and manual. Grant it the jeep had the smallest wheels possible and it was lighter but this was when u could really feel it just wanting to take off an when u did u could hear a different engine. Here is the problem, I want 4door and even though I enjoy manual i have driven it my whole life that now I enjoy auto.

BASICALLY, 4dr auto was a huge disappointment! And the 2dr manual with tinnie tiny none jeep looking wheels felt good.

I leave u with this.......NOTHING!! Once again I really wanted to upgrade to the 2012 but in my opinion not with it!!! I hate saying that cause I was a big fan of it coming out. All I will feel that changed is the interior and to me it's not worth it!

I guess i will be supercharging

All of u that r on the fence with having to pick between a 2011 DEAL or a 2012. I would heavily recommend save the cash and get the 2011 deal. Just regear it cause I WILL have to anyways with the 2012 and/or supercharge it. With the saved cash u can have more HP at the rear wheel with a RIPP supercharge 2011 then with a 3.6L 2012
with 5.13 you must be in the 3000 rpm range all the time. Just drinking the gas. 4.10 to 5.13 is going to make a big difference. Little hard to compare.

Well atleast you guys saving a few thousand on 2011's can save up for your 3.8L rebuild at 50,000 miles.

I know right, all the Grand Cherokee, Charger, Challenger, Avenger, Durango, Journey, Town & Country, Chrysler 300, Chrysler 200 & VW Routan forums are chock full of complaints.

exactly. its pretty common knowledge that you never get the first year of any new vehicle especially one with a new drivetrain/engine as its always got kinks to work out. Plus not sure where this knuckleheads getting the 3.8's require a rebuild at 50k miles. I got a friend that has well over 100k miles on his with zero issues. Theres always a fuck-nut out there who thinks he know's everything

BTW, I saved over 6k getting a new 2011 JKU Rubi over a 2012. I'm extremely happy with my choice

Lol!!!! You just named a group of vehicles which is being looked at for over 6 recalls on the same engine. But I wouldnt expect people to know that..... Ignorance is bliss.

Well will you please enlighten us all with what information you might have. A google search for "pentastar engine recall" literally shows nothing. I been lurking on the GC forum quite a bit in the last 6 months as the wife is wanting one, and in that time have not seen a single post on a motor issue anyone has had.

Since my use is onroad (and deep snow) driving, opting for the Sport versus Rubicon, paid for my AEV/BFG upgrades, As for saving money by buying the old model, do the math. You will lose an equal amount on the 2011 on resale - so you are giving up the upgrades for basically no saved money in the long run.
Please post pics. I want the same setup.
