Called Jeep and was given an estimated ship date of 2/24 I may have my jeep by the end of the month! I was also reminded that this date was only an estimate and not set in stone. It's great to see some movement and to know that the wait will be over sometime soon.

That's awesome! I wonder if I should call or just give it some time... I think I called within the last 2 days or so.

I received e-mail #2 this morning. So I sent an e-mail to my dealer. He said he checked it last night with no news, but the info was all there this morning. I've had a VIN for at least 3-1/2 weeks, maybe longer. I got my VON the day after I ordered it, and got my first e-mail from Jeep 1/19. I waited a few days but kept getting an error in VOTS, so called the dealer around 1/22. That is when they gave me the VIN and I had a new VON as well. (Apparently the system kicked out the original VON or something). So I don't know exactly when I was issued the VIN, but it was before 1/22 (never seen a window sticker).

VOTS has shown "scheduled for production" ever since I've had access with VIN and the new VON I was issued. I was told on 2/7 that I was supposed to be built on 1/18, but that got pulled off the line (guessing from the JKUR hold but who knows). So that might be why I was issued a new VON. No idea.

Based on the fact that demint1 ordered 1/7 and has a 2/24 ship date, I suspect that for whatever reason my build was pulled mid January, I "started over." So from Jeep's perspective, I probably have a 1/13 order date or something. All guesswork, but would make sense if demint1 ordered 11 days after me but is a week before me in the actual build.

I'd just call the 800 number again. Only takes a few minutes. If demint1 and I both got shipping dates, whatever was holding up the JKUR's is probably behind us.

Something happened to my order to have a build date pulled and a new VON issued. You may be just ahead or behind me, but I suspect it is close to my date.

Looks like I am getting movement! I just called and I now have a VIN (my last 3 are 007... I thought that was pretty cool for a blacked out JKUR haha)!

She told me their main systems are in the middle of some sort of update, so she can't see the detailed info but she did tell me that 'they have all the parts" and I'm "in line for production - it's only a small matter of time now". She said my dealer should have the most updated info in their systems, so I'll give them a call in a little bit. I wonder what the hold up was for all the JKUR 6-speeds... Oh well, who cares - we have movement now!

Probably something meaningless. Ran out of hood stickers?

No love for me. Got the "production scheduled" email this morning....although VOTS has shown it as such for exactly a month. Ordered on 1/6 or 1/7. JKUR, 6-speed, BFG with painted top and fenders...among other small options. Called Jeep this evening and was told that there are no dates yet.

All- Thanks for the info. I'll call the dealer tomorrow and see if they got the shipment confirmed and the vehicle left the factory. Even though it has only been one month, the wait is killing me!!

I'd be shocked if you weren't at D1 status within a few day. That e-mail means you are darn close. I'd even bet that if you call your dealer tomorrow, you'll have an estimated ship date. Can't be a coincidence that all of us with JKUR's are all seeing "something" today, be it e-mail, VIN, status change, whatever. All the recent posts are for 6 speeds as well, so maybe I'm wrong about the "just in time" assembly. Or maybe it was the manual transmission holding things up. All I know is that this makes 5 of us with JKUR manual transmissions seeing something today when we were all in the dark last night.

Regardless, VOTS is kind of useless. By the time you get your confirmation, you'll already be in "production scheduled." Frame, Paint, trim, and final inspection will all happen within 40 hours. Highly doubtful they update it along the way. By the time it is shipped, guarantee the dealer will call you before VOTS updates that it has been delivered. So I'm going to try to forget about VOTS (I won't be successful, and I'll still click on it, but I least I already know I'm a fool for assuming it might ever be helpful).

Side note, black helicopter gibberish: I find it odd that everyone always gets their e-mails at exactly the same time. Always 5:31 am PST on a Thursday morning. Someone tell me they got an e-mail some other time? If you got your e-mail, I suspect it was today, right around that time, and something is happening with your order right now.

I placed my order on 2/11. Received my first email a few minutes ago. The email stated my order was received. It also stated: "We are currently in the process of building and delivering the parts required to assemble your vehicle in the plant. We will contact you next when production is scheduled for your new Jeep. At that point, you will receive a tracking number that allows you to identify and monitor your vehicle as it moves through the various stages of production". Is this the conformation email everyone speaks of?

Yes, that is the order confirmation e-mail. The first of 3. (Also nice to know they don't just go out on Thursdays.)
