2012 Wrangler information thread
I filled out the paperwork (and put down a $1k deposit) to order a 2012 Rubicon Unlimited on 7/20. The salesman said the order actually went through "a few days later". I have asked him for the specific order date and/or a VIN number. He says that it was definitley ordered, he'll look into the date/VIN but he seems overly annoyed and I feel like I am getting the runaround. He says it takes a while to get the VIN.
Anyway, let's say the order went in on Friday 7/22 or even Monday 7/25, shouldn't I have VIN by now? Some people on here look like they had theirs in mere days or a week. is there any other way to obtain the VIN other than the dealer? I called Chrysler customer service and they said they couldn't help me.
I am not looking to start world war 3 and go over the sales guys head/ask to speak with a manager if it does indeed take a while to get the VIN...but I also don't want him to blow me off if I should have it by now.
So should I have one by now? Thoughts?

I do have one question. Need to look at steps for the wife. From what I can see the rock rails are not steps. Any ideas on maybe sliders that are steps also? I have done some searching and ACE seems to have some that really look nice. Any other thoughts?

Pretty sure this is Dozer. Looks like the J7 color sorta. Though I heard that was going to be "crush". Hard to get a read on it, all the painted plastic is throwing me off.

I suppose that is dozer, since they won;t start painting crush until 8/22. Nice color, but it may clash with my yellow XJ. I prefer the black top & flares.
Wow, you made my night, thanks for posting that! I'm guessing it's Dozer since you can't order Crush yet, but it sure looks more orange than yellow in the bright sun.
