Getting ready to order a 12 Rubi. DD 95% of the time. My question is gears. Based on the new engine and transmission, would you order with 4.10s or 3.73? Will add 33's or 35's later. Looking for the best set up for highway drives, fuel, and adding larger tires.

4.10 ALL THE WAY cause it will help considerably with ur larger tires as a DD

Dozer yellow, put a snow plow on the front and it will look just like a dozer.

Better yet take off "Rubicon" and put "Short Bus"

Just drove a 12 unlimited sport with 3.21's and Auto. Could feel difference in performance at low speeds but huge difference on highway. Forgot to track RPM's at 70 but didn't feel like it was struggling at all. Hit the gas and reached 85 quickly. Oh, no acceleration delay either. Also priced out the following:

12 Rubicon Unlimited-$33570
Automatic- $1125
CPP24r
Black Clear Coat
Cloth Seats
Heated Seats- $250
Duel Tops- $1625
Connectivity Group - $383
Destination-$800

Total MSRP- $37755 plus TTL

Dealer offer or FFP- $35058 plus TTL

Is this a good deal?

Also lists EP- $33716. What is this?

EP is employee price...usually 5% below FWP price.

If you are serious about bigger tires, absolutely get 4.10. You may still have to re-gear when it is all said and done, but this will help your chances or at least buy you time if you do it in stages.

If you plan on putting bigger tires on, you don't care about gas mileage. If you care about gas mileage, you probably shouldn't be getting a Jeep.

Definitely go with 4.10's (cheap upfront money) and later add 35's for tires (same price as 33's). You would be looking at a lot of money later if you decided to add steeper gears, and the tires cost the same.
