2012 Wrangler information thread
FWIW I can vouch for Buhler as well. Not with 2012 Wrangler pricing, mind you, just for other vehicles I've gotten through them. Easy bunch of guys to work with, never had a problem with anyone there.
i realize what chrysler says about the pentastar engine with the horespower and all,
what i really want to know is whats the real numbers on it. what will the numbers show on a dino?
for example, the current engine is no way close to 202HP, its more like 130HP.
so to say that is has 280HP or so tells me nothing. im quite sure the numbers are hyped up to sound good for the public

You aren't factoring in driveline losses. The 3.8 gets 202 at the flywheel, 130 at the wheels. The pentastar will see similar driveline losses. It isn't misrepresented.

That's why manufacturers show hp numbers without drivetrain loss.

Anyone with info about this? Or maybe he was just talking BS? cause he said he found that online.
No flame to the OP, but...
I don't understand where some comments come from. None of us have seen a confirmed 2012 yet, don't know HP/torque numbers, don't know towing specs, don't know sheet metal changes, yet there are claims of it having issues to water... I would think that would be something that would come out after months of actual owner use, not before production even starts.

I'm sorry for not been clear enough but it wasn't the dealer giving this info, it was a customer. The dealer was like "what?". So that's why i ask here. And he was not talking about hydrolocking but more like maybe delicate electronics or something like that?
