Agreed, the factory head units are lacking. The premium for "built-in" nav is too much given the relative cost of better plug and play nav units and their portability between vehicles. Also, if premium sound is your preference, the lack of compatibility with better amping options and speakers renders OEM D.O.A. for me.

Hey Jeep, I know you are not watching this forum, but here is a good idea for colors:
http://www.colorserver.net/fandeck/ There are a wealth of choices here very suitable for the Jeep vehicle. I think it would be cool to forego the names of these ridiculous colors (Mango Tango? Cosmos Blue? Seriously?) and just go by the book and by the numbers!!!!

Can someone explain to me like I'm a 4th grader why factory nav systems are still a $2000 option in 2011? This technology shouldn't be more than a $500 option, max.

Do it for the kids! Don't pay for the factory Nav so that they wont keep ripping off successive generations of consumers.

Tom and Sally each had a magic bean. The magic beans were just the same with pretty green coloring!!!. You asked both Tom and Sally if you could have one of thier magic beans ever so nicely. Tom wanted 4 lollipops and Sally only wanted one lollipop. Who would you buy the magic bean from?

That's how the discussion with the 4th grader would go :-)

So you're saying if I give my lollipop to Sally, she'll let me have her magic bean? Works for me.

Wait....why does Tom have a bean?
