Traded a 2 door JK for a 4. I have a 4 year old who did Ok with the 2 doorJK, but my wife and I will be having a second child this Monday, if not sooner, and the 2 door would have been too much with a car seat bucket. If the kid goes in and out of your vehicle with any regularity, I recommend the 4. All the fun of the 2 door, with more accessibility for others with the 4 door. Your back will thank you!

I just traded my 07 2 door in for an 08 4 door this week. I am still getting used to the extra length while backing up, and I am sure it will be a little harder to maneuver off road. My back thanks me though, getting the 2 kids in the back sucked bad! The younge son's foot got stuck in the seat track when the front seat rolled back on a slight incline. I can't count how many times they got caught up in the seatbelt. I am loving the smoother ride of the long wheelbase too. I am happy with my decision to trade.

I have been asking the same question. I have a 2dr and am in the process of trying to get rid of it and get a 4dr. I have a son almost 4 and we are talking about having another child. Even if we don't have another one the 4dr is the way to go. I will say I like the looks of the 2dr better though.

I'd get a 4 door if I was in your position.

Man I'm telling you the JK has changed Jeep forever. I don't care what anyone says about the unlimited. There was a time when you were young and a 2 door Jeep was all you needed. Then you get married have kids, then are forced to get rid of the jeep. Then when the kids are gone and you have enough money to have two rides you walk on to the lot and say what the #ell is that! Could have bought 4 jeeps if they'd have made it 20 years sooner!
