Half the reason I like driving this jeep is the six speed. Couldn't imagine owning it with an automatic transmission .... NO WAY

Exactly It would seem like a car instead of a Jeep without the manual.

Dude, if your girl has a "shifter", then you've got problems...

Funky Cold Medina kinda problems, I think...

So I took her to my crib, and everything went well as planned
But when she got undressed, it was a big old mess, Sheena was a man

lol, i was thinking the same thing. and i love having the 6-sped, but I think something is wrong with mine. I can't get a smooth shift going from 1st to 2nd no matter what I do.

Maybe I need to visit the dealer.. only had this thing for a week

I've read all the pros and cons about auto vs. manual and decided to go with the 6 speed. I guess what I'm asking here is has anyone who also picked a manual trans later regretted that decision? Thanks for your input.
Heck no, I love my manual and would never consider an auto.

HaHa! Ok. So shifter was a bad word to use, I meant it more in the context of "shift her" but never mind.

Some funny replies so far.

I've had 2 (1990 & 1994) Toyota 4X4s and 1 (1994) Ford Ranger 4X4 all of which were manuals. I mildly wheeled them all as I expect to do with the Rubi. Well maybe more so, but you won't find any vids of me on YouTube on my roof, getting air, or doing 40mph through local mud holes. It still has to be my daily driver.

Regrets?

I had my Silver Unlimited Sahara Auto for over a year. . . suffering . .

I just traded it in on an 09 Jeep Green Sahara 2-door 6-spd and I cannot believe the difference.

It is an entirely different vehicle. I regret getting an auto before, it's so good I forgot all about my loss on depreciation.
