Anyone wish they waited for the 2012 3.6?

By no means do I think my JKU is superior, but, yes, I'm glad I waited (8 months). I was in no hurry to buy so that is what made my decision much easier. I would have scooped up an '11 if I needed a new(er) vehicle when I started looking.

I think the older the wrangler the better they looked. Personally the only thing I like on the 2012"s over my 2010 is the new engine "drools" and they brought back original soft top rear window just how it was on EVERY other wrangler before JK.
The new interior is AWFUL! Love the material but damn its almost as bad as the TJ's. Now that's my opinion as I'm old school and prefer the more simple suited jeep look of the interior.

I love my 08 but with the '12 out and the upgraded engine and dozer orange color I'm thinking about selling mine. If i can get enough for my 08 to keep the loan value of a similarly equipped '12 below 10k, I think I'll do it.

Not at all, heard that they will not keep the Tan for all 2012...
And learned the hard way not to buy a 1st year model with a major upgrade...

I knew about the new engine when I bought my '11 in June. I liked the 3.8 when I test drove it, and 0% for 60 is tough to beat! My son will be 16 in 5 years... I'd feel better handing down a 202 hp Jeep than a 285 hp Jeep! ;-)

I knew about the new engine and auto trans when I bought my 2011 two weeks ago.
I love it and the price and color were the deciding factors.

I always wanted a 65th anniversary 5 years ago when I got my GC and opted for the laredo. This time, I wanted the 70th JKU and got it. 2012 wasn't an option........but now I see the new COD Rubi....WOW!

nope - glad I moved forward with mods, no issues with programmers or re-gearing.

Also saving for Hemi or diesel swap - it'll be cheaper than buying new and all new mods and I can change my Rubicon lettering to RUBIHEMED

I recently test drove a couple of 2012s; one stick, one Rubi with auto.
I liked them both. The new auto is a better match for the Wrangler than the 42RLE.

I don't feel the 2012s are enough better to make me want to trade in my 2008.
