When I called my dealer and ask him for jeep status(before I started doing it on my own thanks to this site) I think he was going to a website to get jeep status. I wish I could log onto a site to find out were I am at.

I was told 2 weeks by my dealer the day i went kzm status, the next day my status changed to jb status, so i don't think he was just blowing smoke. He hasn't been all that informative, but all the info that he has given me has been accurate. luckily i am going on a business trip for a few days so i can get my mind off of the jeep waiting game.

We sold my wifes car yesterday so all we have know is my 2wd beater truck and a huge ice storm rolling into town. I think we are going to be spending some good quality time at home this week.
Out here in Ca. all the vehicles (Jeeps Fords, Chevys, Etc) get dropped by the train in one huge lot. Then car carriers make deliveries to all the dealers. It just depends how quick they get to yours. I think the actual train ride was less than a week. So dealers give you a rounded 2 weeks. My train came in on the Friday after Thanksgiving. The dealer had it Tuesday late afternoon. I picked it up Wed. morning as I wanted to check it over in the daylight. The total ship to me was probably about 11-12 days. Hope this helps!

The US service department referred me to the Canadian service dept. at 800-465-2001 (she did not have info on my CDN order number). After following the menus (#-0-2-0), I was told by the Canadian rep. that Order Status information was not available, and to call my dealer. I pushed, but the rep. did not budge. Is this typical? Should I be calling another number? Do we not have the same level of service in Canada?

Thanks,
js.

My salesman called me daily with that info. (Nice guy) I wasn't able to figure out how to track it despite having the rail car number.

Once the vehicle is on the train, there is no means to track it - outside of contacting the rail road. My X is "in-transit" as I write this (or so say those who should know).
DC just told me that it is on the rail and until the trucker signs for the transfer, they cannot tell me with any certainty where it is in transit.

I Checked the UP web site to track a rail car you need to be the shipper and have username and password. He would need to contact DC shipping office to get the info for you.

(edit after reading above post made while posting lol) UP does offer rail car tracking with the above requirements. sounds more like they just don't wanna go there
