I checked all and there was similar clearance on all brake lines, none of the brake lines touched inner fender liners on my 2009 Sahara. Here is a photo just taken of the driver front

Exactly the same on my unlifted 2007 2 door Rubicon. All lines are well clear of the fender liners, no signs of rubbing.

Wonder what the pattern is here of why some rub and others have plenty of clearance on non-lifted Jeeps?

Easy answer, just look straight up inside that fender liner. You will see a large button that holds up the liner. The passenger side of mine was just touching, until I pushed up on that plastic button. Causing the liner to move up and out of the way. So the folks on here posting that their's not rubbing, are relying on that plastic button to continue holding.

It's a pretty easy fix. The pictures posted above this post show the left side. The issue is on the RIGHT side.
  1. Just turn your wheels hard left.
  2. Grab your tin snips for an easy cut of the plastic material
  3. Cut a piece out to prevent rubbing like this:

First off let me welcome you to the JK-Forum. Below in that plastic button I am referring to. When I pushed up on this the liner did move up about 1/2", clearing the brake lines. I will be trimming my liners ASAP, and not rely on these plastic buttons / clips.

Teraflex Leveling kit here and after inspection today, no rubbing on either side. I was already going to order Bushwacker Flat Flares before the end of the month to take advantage of the sale and free shipping deal and will just do some extra trimming to be sure when they are out.

Anything to avoid the dealership...

I checked mine this afternoon. I have a groove on my brakeline from the fender liner rubbing up against the brakeline. I first contacted the dealership, they have no idea on what the procedure is to fix the problem. I then contacted Chrysler and NHTSA and pretty much was told I need to wait for a recall notice before anything gets done. I'm a little paranoid because I use my Jeep on a mail route so do a lot of stopping and going.
