which link did i post? now i'm confused..

Anyway, mine was contacting as well... Doesn't seem to pose an immediate threat but I'll probably trim the plastic, just to be safe..

It looks like it has been "polished" where the contact was made.. That flap only over-hangs a few mm and the strain on the brake line (mine, at least) seems minimal, but you never know.. This is a Rubicon - I'm a total Jeep noob so I'm not sure if/how it would be different on an X, Sahara, etc...

Default Jk recalls!!!!

This just in, for all those canadian jk owners (i'm not sure about in the US), thousands of jks from 2007 to 2010 are being re--ed for potential damage to brake fluid lines. we are supposed to be notified at the end of this month.

here's a link to the article

Same for the US. I just read the press release. The article stated that Chrysler is recalling 600,000 vehicles (Yes, I said 600,000 vehicles). Of the 600,000, a large portion are 2007-2010 Jeep Wranglers.

I didn't quote you. But the post I quoted and mine are gone now. No biggy, they were not adding to the main topic at all.

Id rather not spend hours at the dealer for some BS fix and then have them try to sell me a bunch of crap.
My thoughts as well. Just cut out some relief. I don't like their clamp/anti-chafe bracket solution. Just get the liner out of there by cutting away a bit of it.

For those guys who do show rubbing, changing that line will be a bitch.

I just inspected mine and dont see any wear....I guess having a body lift helps provide some clearance....I installed the body lift only a few months after purchasing the JK...

Almost all the JK's in New England are built and shipped from North of the border. The stealerships stand to make a lot of $$$ from warranty kick backs & extra oil changes owners may then request. Nevertheless, we all don't own cookie cutter rigs, so I'm always a little anxious returning to their crib, especially with a lifted vehicle. Toyota gave me a tough time with the 3" coil lift on my 05 Taco, almost failed me on the inspection & threatened to amend my warranty. My spouse always pleads with me to switch vehicles, this sounds like a great trade, I mean she will get a coupon for a free coffee, and have the opportunity to watch the "Price is Right' on a crappy tv, while sitting in a crammed waiting room. The good news, she will have plenty of sales reps doting over her, especially since they aren't moving Chrysler products in this area.

I'll be having those liners out for a flat fender install this weekend anyway. What's one more cut. Thanks for the pictures guys, always a huge help.

I just inspected mine and I also don't see any wear....
I didn't install a lift and yet seem to have plenty of clearance
I checked all and there was similar clearance on all brake lines, none of the brake lines touched inner fender liners on my 2009 Sahara. Here is a photo just taken of the driver front

Can anyone else with a '10 confirm/deny this? i can't see my girl (my jeep) for a few more days and I'd love to stop worrying! so what I'm really asking is.. does anyone with a '10 have rubbing or liners that are touching the brake lines? thanks!
