I joined the club yesterday... my JKUR has 103 or so miles on it... oddly enough that matches the temperature outside here...

I got mine last fall. It my 2nd JKUR and Jeep has done awesome this time around. Cleared up the no power issues with the new engine and it rides way smoother. I've already put 40,000 km on mine. Lots of hard kMs. I go fishing twice a day when I'm at home so it's all bush roads that no one travels. I just started to hear an exhaust leak and the mp3 plug in busted off the other day but I beat the crap out of it. That's what it's for. It's gets me everywhere I want to go and when I put on my RK lift and 37s it will get me further.

Yeah... it was like the shifting into a gear for my Jeep was initially "gritty" like the synchros were a bit rough... but as time went on and after I got stuck (GRIN)... its all smooth now. Now I just need to keep my foot out of the accelerator from taking off fast... LOL

In regards to being a guinea pig... it will be after the first of the year once I get enough green stamps saved up to buy the lift. I want to change out the rims too - looking at the MB 72s. @ Discount Tire... really basic militaristic looking... but thats the way I am anyways. GRIN

Those rims will look sweet. I think that basic black goes best with Dozer. Otherwise, it's visual overload.

I see you like big dogs too. Here's my boy Kona, 12 mos., 150 lbs. He's not allowed in my JK yet. It still smells nice.

Hi everyone. I'm new. And after searching and searching the Internet and this forum for the past week non-stop, I am still unable to find an answer to my question, so I am hoping one of you can help me out. In fact, I don't even know what the appropriate thread is that is that I should ask it. It is regard to my 2012 and if a certain wheel will work on it or not. I'd like to get the Pro Comp 8179 Wheels in a 15" x10. I have learned that there are plenty of people that it has worked for with older models, but I'm unclear if those will clear the calipers on a 2012?? Can anyone please confirm one way or the other for me? It would be GREATLY appreciated. I honestly feel like I have burned holes in my eyeballs trying to find an answer and staying up wayyyy too late every night searching... PLEASE HELP

There's a thread about 15" wheels already out on the JKTalk section of the forum... here is the link to a page where someone actually put them onto their JK: https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/jk-s...d-7758/page11/

Though I think its an older JK. You might want to search that thread and see if there are any later postings with 2012 models either using 15" rims or the specific rims you're looking at... and that member if they had to make any changes etc...

Hope that helps.
