Default Daughter broke my JK..

I have 37's on my 08 JK Unlimited with a 4" FT Ultimate kit with stock driveshafts, 3.73s, limited slip rear, open front and the Jeep drives perfect and works well on dirt and light rocks. I am not going to take it on serious trails till I get the 5.13s, upgrade the shafts and the front axles, and add an OX.

My problem, my daughter just got her learners permit and I want her to know now to drive a stick so I took her to a parking lot this weekend. She dumped the clutch a bunch of times, chirped the wheels and stalled too, however she started to get the feel of it after 30 minutes. However, when I got back into the drivers seat I noticed a loud sound from underneath when I would start and slow down.

The suspension seems fine. Now when I'm driving when I take off I hear a noise and then everything is fine and then when I start to slow down I hear another noise like whatever started the first noise is unwinding or shifting back. I hear the noise with the clutch in or out when I slow down. Everything seems fine at speed.

Anyone have a similar problem? Suggestions on what I should check?

Yeah.. This is hard to diagnose via a post. Personally, I think the CV at the case got tweaked, however it doesn't look damaged. I won't know till I get it on a lift next weekend. Thanks for replying.

Doing a burnout with the 37"s on pavement with the stock shafts and axles is bound to break something..

Just some advice...and I know, it's after the fact, sorry. Two things to remember when teaching someone to drive a clutch. The first is teach them TO do what everyone teaches people NOT to do. That's teach them to ride the clutch. Teach them that FIRST, and the rest is easy. Of course tell them to ride the clutch as little as possible once they learn how. The second thing, and I'm sure by now you know. Teach them on a crappy vehicle. Maybe one that almost needs a clutch. That way, it's already near bout burned up and they can't do much more damage. I had my son driving a clutch like a pro in 15 minutes.

Gravel is a good idea.

I dont know anyone with a manual POS. If I did, that is what I would have taught her in.. it seems like auto's are everywhere nowadays.

Just a guess....crawl under there and take a long look at your driveshafts. Check them for any play as well.

Manuals get way better mileage than autos. Even with the 37' and 3.73s I'm getting almost 14.5 miles per gallon (based on my GPS because I did not recalibrate my speedo).

Pics? Are you out of your effing mind?
