Dealing with tailgaters
This morning I discovered a wonderful defense mechanism that I never knew my jeep was installed with.
So, I was driving to work this morning, with 6 inches of snow on my roof. The highway was kinda clear, but I was still taking it easy just in case. I got a tailgater behind me in one of those little saturn sports cars. I guess I was driving too slow in the right lane and no one would let him over. So, I smacked my soft top and snow bounced up and off and smacked him right in the windshield. He didn't learn the first time, so I did it again. He kept his distance after that

Wait a minute here. I've always thought Philly was the city of brotherly love.
Ten years ago I might have done that, but today I take the passive route. Just keep driving the speed limit, and perhaps tapping the brake pedal every once in a while.
But if that jerk bumps me, now that another story.

Or if you live in Dallas. When was the last time you had enough snow in Dallas to pop it off the top?
Seriously, I just caution everyone that if there were an accident, you'd probably be held accountable (of course, you're headed away from the accident scene and could chose to keep going--but then if found out you'd be in really deep doo-doo).

Hi! I feel your pain... While my situation is probably much different than yours (we are fortunate to have many "back roads") I reconciled myself to leaving a bit early, driving on the back roads whenever possible, and pulling over (or even off) when / if I see more than a couple of cars behind me and enjoying the trip / views. I use to be a hot-head and slammed on the brakes etc but I'm approaching 60 years old and don't tolerate the high blood pressure like I used to. I had one young lad tail-gate me, pass me like a bat out of --- and about 10 minutes later I came acrossed him stuck in a ditch. I pulled over, asked him if he was okay (he was fine) then politley told him to have a nice day and drove away! (Poetic justice at its best)... Take care... Mike

How could I make that work with a hardtop???
