I really like Americas Tire Co (DT in Ca), but they lost my business this past week...
I was headed out on a long vacation and wanted to have my tires balanced and rotated before I got an alignment job...they are the ONLY TIRE SHOP in town that is not open Sunday...Sunday is the only day I have available to do such things, I can't give my business to someone who is not there for me on my one available day...alas I will go elsewhere for tires in the future.
Ps. I don't care what their reasoning is for being closed on Sundays, I really don't.

Don't get me wrong, they've done good by me in the past, and gave me great prices...I just can't do business with someone who won't be open when I need them

How does one take advantage of the discount? I've looked at the sponsors thread, but all I see is that they are a sponsor. Nothing about a discount that I've seen several people mention here.

I read somewhere on this site that it is like $50.00 off if you buy 5 tires, but maybe it is done case-by-case?
I would call and find out myself, but I have to stay up super-late, borrow a satellite phone, and if I do not get through to a live person, there is no number that I can leave for them to call me on.

I'm on Tinker AFB in Oklahoma City, but as a contractor supporting enterprise email/mobile communications for the army. So, that probably wouldn't be you, but we're about to pick up the Air Force.
