When I was buying last month I saw new JKU's for under $30k.. Saw a couple around the 25-27 mark, and that's in NY where every price is overly inflated!! I wound up driving to MD for mine and saving ALOTTA money!! Plus, if you're not very mechanical a brand new Jeep will come with a 3yr. bumper to bumper and a 100,000 power train warranty.

I hadn't put a whole lot of thought into buying new, but it may be something worth looking in to. I just did a quick search and didn't find anything less than $30k in my area. I am probably picking the worst time of the year to buy a Jeep too. The weather is nice right now and everyone is cruising around naked that I have seen in the last two weeks or so.

Shawn, I just went through a "pot of gold" search myself - SEE HERE

I drove all engine/transmission combinations, and the only one I would absolutely not recommend would be the older 3.8L with an automatic. The new ones drive great, but I could not justify the extra money. I am very satisfied with my purchase, and from your listed needs, you should be able to find something in your price range. You just might have to be patient and wait for the right deal, and/or travel to get it.

Best of luck!

That's awesome!!! I just responded on your thread. I am getting my wants/needs list together this weekend and I am going to start evaluating this very objectively. I know it can happen if I just focus and dedicate the time and attention to it. My goal is to be in a ride before Christmas... Merry Christmas to me!!!

Just reached out to them. $1500 of the discounts are for things that don't apply to me, but still not a bad price for a brand new ride. It is above my price range, but I am going to follow up with them and see how it would all shake out.

I don't understand that opinion.
The 3:21 is just fine for anyone that isn't looking to blow the bank on tires. They run great with stock or 33's. I have it and have no complaints. Still has lots of pep in her.
Same with others I know with it.
Stock on 12+ model years is 3:21. 3:73 is an extra $495 when ordering
Anything lower (3:73, 4:10,etc..) adds $$$ to ur bottom line. Initial cost, then Tires, fuel economy etc.....
A Budget mind set will find 3:21 much more common.('12+) More available, less demand, lower price. Not by much mind you but still. There's nothing wrong with 3:73's either though. Just cost in one way or the other.

Sorry for conflicting advice dude.
