I agree the JK horns sound like crap, but i just took delivery of a 2010 rubi and accidently set the alarm off, I don't remember the horn on my X being that loud or deep and that was only yesterday!

The place I got mine from sell those too. My kit is EXACTLY the same but the horns are plastic. They sound EXACTLY the same. If I where mounting them where they would be seen I would have went with metal. Since mine are hidden and impossible to clean I went with the black plastic that will not rust and as i said sounds the same.

Personally, Iv been considering going to Harbor Freight and seeing what they have to replace the stock horn.
They advertise one that is made by Wolo and claims it is 108 db
